About Us

Tom and Margaret, themselves seasoned travellers, have in recent years refurbished Ackinnoull into a top quality guest house. You will find Ackinnoull spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, while still retaining many of the original features of the house, particularly the beautiful cornices.

The bedrooms are spacious with a sitting area with easy armchairs, TV and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

The en-suite bathrooms are roomy and have top quality fittings and showers.

There is one ground floor bedroom.

The guest lounge contains books, magazines and additional tourist information.

Breakfasts at Ackinnoull are a substantial affair:

The first course is a buffet with fruit juice, cereals, prunes, grapefruit and yogurt. Porridge is also available.

The second course is a cooked meal selected from an extensive menu which includes smoked salmon, kippers as well as the traditional Scottish breakfast of sausage, bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes.

This is accompanied by tea or coffee, toast and scones, jam and marmalade and finally oatcakes and cheese.
