We are quietly situated and only a few minutes walk from the centre of town. A 10 minute stroll will take you to the shores of our magical Lake Derwentwater, the 'Queen of the Lakes' and the Theatre by the Lake.

The Bedrooms
Nothing prepares you for your day batter than a great nights sleep.
We offer a range of different sized en-suite rooms, with showers, toilets and wash handbasins, tastefully decorated with cleanliness and comfort a priority. They are thoughtfully equipped with individual thermostatically controlled central heating, hairdryers and hospitality trays and remote controlled colour televisions with a tv magazine so you can plan your viewing! We provide make-up removal pads, guest facecloths and soaps and a small razor should you forget your own! Large soft bath towels are provided for your use. Sweets and some delicious biscuits are provided to enjoy with your tea, coffee or hot chocolate. |
Breakfast
However you intend to fill your day, nothing fills you up better than one of our breakfasts.
 Our bacon is English Pork, dry cured here in Keswick; our Cumberland Sausages and Black Pudding are made to an old Cumbrian recipe. Our pork sausages are pure English Pork. For the vegetarians amongst you we offer the best quality vegetarian sausages. The eggs we use are supplied by Scales Farm in Embleton where they have only healthy and happy free range hens.
Hearty English and vegetarian breakfasts are served at individual tables in our light and airy dining rooms. |

The Area
If your desire is to absorb the spectacular scenery which surrounds this small, busy market town on foot there are innumerable walks starting right outside our front door! We provide a drying area for wet outer clothing and footwear. Should you prefer to be a little faster on your feet then mountain bikes and cycles are available for hire in town. We offer secure cycle storage if you wish to bring your own bike! For the less adventurous amongst you and for those who like a relaxing break there is always a cruise on one of the launches that circumnavigate the lake or maybe just a stroll to Friars Crag where you can see the fells of Walla Crag and Cat Bells and listen to the murmuring of the water at the lake edge.
Keswick boasts numerous pubs and restaurants some serving the local Jennings Brewery fine Cumbrian Ales. All offering different foods from the best cuisine to good old fashioned English Pub Fare and all within walking distance of Amble House. |

M6 junction 40, A66 to Keswick, 1st left sign-posted Keswick to T-junction, turn right onto A591 towards town centre, past garage on left, under disused railway bridge 3rd turning on left is Greta Street - leads on to Eskin Street. |
