Welcome

There are three large modern bedrooms, with twin, fourposter or king-size beds en-suite bathrooms. Extra beds are available for children. Tea & coffee making facilities, fresh bottled water, fruit, TV, trouser presses, hairdryers and a good selection of reading material, are in each bedroom.
Bedrooms are cleaned and provided with clean towels every morning throughout your stay.

Full English or Continental Breakfast is served by candlelight, in our oak- paneled dining room. Dietary requests are accommodated.

A comfortable lounge is available next to the dining room, and through the French doors, a pleasant garden, hosting a variety of local wildlife.

Awide selection of restaurants and pubs are on offer in the area and we would be very pleased to recommend some favourites. Pretty villages with historical interest are close by, such as Chenies with it’s prominent Manor House, which was given as a wedding present by Queen Edith, wife of our last Saxon king, in the 12th. Century. This is open to the public.
Chiltern Open Air Museum (& some) are a favourite with the children, as is the Queen Victoria’s Dolls House at Windsor Castle . Black Park which is famous for it’s Beech Woods and filmsettings used by Pinewood Studios.

Ashburton Country House is an outstanding Tudor style residence, ideally located at the edge of the Chiltern Valley. As well as being accessible to major South East Motorways (M25, M40 & M1) it offers exceptional transport links to the centre of London (25 minutes to Marylebone Railway Station) and major London airports (Heathrow 16 miles, Luton 23 miles). Airport collection is also available (48 hours notice required.)
A perfect base for exploring London , by the underground, whilst having the luxury of a quiet nights rest. Travel cards are available at very low cost, that allow unlimited travel on buses and trains from 9.30a.m.until the last train home at the end of the day. Your car may be left on our driveway, while you enjoy the Chiltern scenery from the train.

The house is located at the end of a quiet residential road in Chorleywood, a commuting village from Edwardian times and is approximately 5 minutes walk from shops and 7 minutes walk from the railway station. |
