The house was built around 1870 to high Victorian standards in the Burgh of Monifieth by James Fairweather Low, a local businessman who manufactured machinery for the jute makers. We are a non-smoking home and have a spacious car park with all-night lighting.

Ashlea Manor overlooks the Firth of Tay with its extensive views beyond to Fife. We are ideally placed for keen golfers as we are very close to the two famous Golf Links - Monifieth Golf Course (click on the News button upper-left for more information) and the Carnoustie Golf Course (only 3 miles away along the coast road).
St Andrews with its Golf Course is just a 30 minutes drive away into Fife.
