The Ashley House is a 53 bedroom hotel comprising three elegant Victorian townhouse. It is situated in the very heart of London but has the added bonus of being located in a garden square with no through traffic. Therefore, our guests can enjoy the best of both worlds - a quiet hotel which is at the same time just a stone's throw from all the most popular tourist attractions.

Upon arrival all our guests are given their own front door key and bedroom key. Therefore security at the hotel is never compromised, something for which those travelling alone are very grateful. In addition to this our reception staff have instructions never to accept anyone who might indulge in anti social behaviour. This ensures that the hotel remains a haven of civility.

Of course very few other bed and breakfast hotels in London have such high standards, but the Ashley Hotel has been under the same British ownership for over 30 years and so no one knows how to run a traditional 'B and B' better!Most of our reservations come from recommendations and return bookings, proving that our guests feel comfortable and safe with us.

All of our refurbished guest bedrooms are equipped with TV's , radios, telephones, tea and coffee making facilities and most have private showers and WC's en suite. Also, hairdryers are available to borrow from reception.

Should our guests require additional space in which to relax then they will find a comfortable lounge downstairs. Here they can help themselves to a selection of cold drinks or can make use of 'The Little Butler's Teashop' where a wide variety of hot beverages and non-alcoholic nightcaps are available.

Next to the lounge is a 60 seat Breakfast Room where our guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast consisting of various cereals, fruit juices, toast, tea and coffee, and of course, a traditional platter of egg and bacon. This can be accompanied by the morning newspaper, a selection of which are available each day.

Weather permitting our guests can also go for a stroll in the tree lined tranquillity of Norfolk Square with its well tended lawns and flower beds.

Please note that we do not have an elevator, so should you wish to indulge in any further exercise then simply ask for a room on the fourth floor!

Paddington Underground station is just 3 minutes walk fromthe hotel and serves four underground lines. Also a number of London'sunmistakable double-decker buses stop an equally short distance away. This means that famous landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Madame Tussaud's, Portobello Market, St Paul's cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Covent Garden, Tower of London and Harrods department store, to name but a few, are all within easy reach. Other places of interest such as Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, and Little Venice are within a short stroll of the hotel.

Paddington Railway Station is also 3 minutes walkaway. Therefore day trips to other parts of the countrycouldn't be easier, exciting and historic places such as Stratford-upon-Avoncan be reached in just 2 ¼ hours,Windsor in 40 minutes, Oxford in 1 hour and Bath in 1 ½ hours. Our guests can also benefit from the new Heathrow Expresstrain servicewhich runs direct from Heathrow Airport to Paddington and takes just 15 minutes.
