The Avenue is a small, peaceful establishment overlooking Northumberland County Cricket ground, in a leafy suburb of Newcastle. There is unrestricted and easy street parking.

We offer friendly and personal service, warm comfortable rooms and excellent value for money. All rooms have en suite facilities, and all have direct dial phone, colour television, drink and biscuits tray, hairdryer, large fluffy towels and crisp white sheets.

We offer a traditional English breakfast or a vegetarian option as well as such lighter choices as yoghurt, grapefruit and muesli.

We are one mile from the City Centre, with its excellent shops, universities, hospitals, theatres, museums and lively night life. We are close to buses, motorways and the Metro System, while Newcastle International Airport and the North Sea Ferry terminal is a little over 20 minutes drive.

The Avenue is an ideal base from which to explore unspoilt Northumbria, with its ancient castles, beautiful beaches, Hadrian's Wall, Durham Cathedral, Lindisfarne and Beamish Open Air Museum.

How to Find Us

From A167M City Centre Motorway take A1058 Tynemouth turn off. At top of slip road turn left at traffic lights into Osbourne Road go through a set of traffic lights, past three small shops, shops on right, and turn right into Osbourne Avenue. We are three hundred yards down on the left at the junction with Manor House Road. We are opposite the County Cricket Ground.
