The English Riviera is the name for the general area of Torbay that includes the three main towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. Tor is an old reference to 'hills' and bay refers to the actual bay, hence Torbay being 'the bay in the hills'. Torquay is famous for its Torbay Palms and on a warm, sunny day you could easily forget that you are still in England.

Dining Room

Babbacombe Guest House operates on a bed & breakfast basis. Our dining room provides a comfortable and convivial atmosphere in which to start your day with a hearty full English breakfast.

The majority of our guests look forward to their breakfast and we try to ensure that they get their breakfast the way they want it. In each room there is a form that can be filled in with your preferred breakfast options. All you have to do is complete the form and hand it to Pam or Ray at the end of the day(early breakfast is available on request). Evening meals can be catered for out of season by arrangement.

Room 1 - Double

A bright and cheerful double room on the ground floor of Babbacombe Guest House. Ideal for those who find stairs a chore.

There is plenty of space in this room and a very comfortable double bed. The neutral decor is accented with some nice but subtle splashes of colour.

The room also has en-suite facilities and television.

Room 2 - Double

This is one of our busiest rooms at Babbacombe Guest House and gets booked well in advance so please book early to avoid disappointment!

This well proportioned family room has a comfortable double bed and two good sized bunk beds. For the slightly larger families it is also possible to have a travel cot in the room as well.

The room also has en-suite facilities and television.

Room 3 - Twin

A bright and cheerful twin room on the first floor of Babbacombe Guest House. Pam's trademark of a friendly cuddly toy in each room adds a great personal touch and makes you feel very welcome.

There is plenty of space in this room and a very comfortable twin beds, making it popular with walking companions. The neutral decor is accented with some nice but subtle splashes of colour.

The room also has en-suite facilities and television.

Room 4 - Double

One of our brightest and most popular rooms! This is a corner room and there are two windows so with Torquay being famous for its sunshine this really is a bright room.

This well proportioned room is decorated with soothing pastel green and has a seriously comfortable double bed.

Room 5 - Double

The double room is on the second floor of Babbacombe Guest House and has a wonderful character due to the roof shape being part of the room.

This well proportioned room has a comfortable double bed and proves very popular. There is a great storage space behind the wardrobe and TV due to the angle of the roof making the space ideal for rucksacks, boots, etc. This is very popular with our hiking and walking clientele.

The room also has en-suite facilities and television.

Room 6 - Single

The single room is on the second floor of Babbacombe Guest House.

This well proportioned room has a comfortable single bed and is ideal for single travellers.

The room also has some en-suite facilities and television. Due to the characteristic layout of the Guest House the toilet facilities for this room are situated opposite the room and are not shared.
