 | The Bailbrook Lodge guest house is a Georgian Grade II listed country house, excellently situated 1 1/2 miles from the city centre -7 minutes drive.
It is a delightful, peaceful and relaxed location with lovely lawns and gardens.
There are 15 en suite bedrooms, 5 with four posters.
Eight rooms overlook the gardens and lawns and the Avon Valley.
The remaining rooms overlook the grounds of Bailbrook House, a splendid Georgian mansion designed by the famous architect John Everleigh.
All rooms have recently been redecorated and refurbished in a sympathetic style and have LCD TV, DVD player, direct dial telephone, modem points, hair dryer and trouser press, plus tea and coffee making facilities with complimentary biscuits and mineral water.
Complimentary cotton slippers are provided in all bedrooms plus the use of bathrobes and a personal safe for guests in the four poster and superior rooms. |

BATH
Bath is without doubt one Britain's, if not Europe's most beautiful and historically intriguing cities. Ideally situated in the lush Avon valley in the rich rolling downs between the Cotswold and Mendip Hills, the City has been celebrated for centuries for its idyllic atmosphere. Through the ages writers and artists have come here for inspiration: Charles Dickens, Jane Austen and Thomas Gainsborough have all sung the praises of the City's calm and leisurely air.
Bath Springs provide a quarter of a million gallons of rich mineral water a day at a constant temperature of 46.5 degrees C. These natural Springs insired the Romans to build their magnificent temple and baths. The Thermal Spa has now reopened,having been closed for many years, following a £20 million plus redecorarion and redelopment. Architects much as Beau Nash, John Bennett an John Wood built neo-classical parades, squares and crescents from the now renowned Bath stone.
The Georgians brought with them their love of art and musice and so the Pump Room and Assembly Rooms were built to cater for their high social gatherings.

Take the A4, at the junction with the bath exit take the road to Batheaston, Bailbrook Lodge is on the lefthand side after 50 yards.
From the West:
(City Centre) Take the A4, at the A46 underpass junction take the road to Batheaston. Bailbrook Lodge is on the left hand side after 50 yards.
From the North:
(M4) come off at Junction 18, take A46 at the Bath exit, take the road to Batheaston. Bailbrook Lodge is on the left hand side after 50 yards. |
