At the Barn Cottage Award Winning Bed & Breakfast we offer you a warm welcome, high quality accommodation and delicious breakfasts.
We go out of our way to make your stay as comfortable and hassle free as possible.
This award-winning Bed and Breakfast combines great hospitality with good cooking and 2 luxurious en suite rooms. We have been assessed by Quality in Tourism as a 4 Star Bed and Breakfast, with a Silver Award for Quality and a Breakfast Award.

We are ideally situated in the heart of South Somerset, West Dorset and East Devon countryside, in a quiet and very peaceful, beautifully rural area a couple of miles south of Crewkerne here in the West Country.

Local maps and information leaflets are available for guests to use during their stay with us. On our bookshelves are a variety of local interest books for you to browse.
We welcome ALL guests: business guests: overnighters : short stay : long stay. Children are very welcome at Barn Cottage, but please advise us of your needs before booking.
We offer a "pick up and drop off" service for walkers.
If the weather turns nasty washing and drying facilities are readily available.
Guest Iron and Ironing Board available upon request.
Unless prior arrangements are made, check in is usually after 3.30pm with check out around 10.30am.

ACCOMMODATION
BARN COTTAGE offers you luxurious, home from home accommodation, with those little extra's to ensure your stay is comfortable.
Our two spacious airy guest rooms have been thoughtfully furnished and tastefully decorated to a very high standard.
Each has an ensuite shower room, tea/coffee making facilities, tempting nibbles, lots of storage space, LCD Flat Screen TV/DVD (Freeview) which also plays audio CDs, on site WIFI. Shower gel, shampoo/conditioner and a hairdryer, plugs and shaver points where you need them. Guest refrigerator with chilled filtered water and fresh milk. Binoculars.
King Room
The spacious KING room has triple aspect windows with panoramic views facing our English country garden, the rose trellis and farm lands. It is decorated in soothing shades of pale cream with William Morris soft furnishings. Lots of storage space.
The King size bed is wonderfully comfortable.
With the addition of a single folding bed we also offer this room for groups of three. A Travel Cot is also available.
"The Barn Cottage is so welcoming, our room was comfy and we even got hot water bottles which was bliss. Our room had wonderful views and the shower was hot and welcome after a long trudge in the rain"
Twin Room
The charming TWIN room also has wonderfully comfortable beds, both 3' wide under a partially sloping ceiling. There are panoramic views south over lovely gardens and farm lands and hills. This beautifully sunlit room is decorated in pale creams, furnished with cream furniture and Sanderson's "Butterfly Garden" soft furnishings.
"The beds were so comfortable we did not want to leave them- very rare for a B+B!"
BREAKFAST
Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast in the delightful breakfast room shared with friendly faces and lots of laughter!
The French doors in the Breakfast Room over look the patio, the garden and the farm lands. Guests are welcome to take breakfast inside or out.
Your breakfast experience is very important to us.

We don't expect you to decide in the evening how early you will wake up or how hungry you will be the next morning!
Come down anytime between 8:00 and 9:15am and enjoy coffee, made from freshly ground beans, or pots of tea. (Early breakfasts to order)
Choose from our extensive Breakfast menu or select one of our delicious house specials.
Fruit salad is freshly prepared every morning and the eggs are from our daughter's flock.
A variety of muesli and other cereals is on offer. We have a delicious selection of preserves / jams from our own kitchen.
We will certainly endeavour to meet any specific dietary requirements if you give us prior notice.
We always use good quality ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible.
Light suppers and packed lunches are available on request.
