The award winning Batemans Mill is situated in a quiet rural area near to Chesterfield and on the edge of the Peak District. A conversion of a 18th C mill house, the Hotel is owned and operated by John & Maggie Roberts, who pride themselves of providing a very high standard of accommodation and service, recognised by a number of awards.
With 8 lovely en suite bedrooms, some on the ground floor, accessible and family rooms available. Dining Chef-proprietor John Roberts a member of the Master Chefs of Great Britain produces modern European dishes with an emphasis on local produce. Food is available in the ground floor bar/restaurant and in the first floor restaurant with regularly changing menus, daily specials, special food promotions and events
Private dining For that extra special occasion we can create a wonderful three to six course lunch or dinner, advise on wine selection and provide additions including cocktails, canapés and flowers |
Cookery demonstrations A series of informal daytime weekday or weekend cookery demonstrations by Chef-proprietor John Roberts. Demonstrations cover a wide range of cookery topics, cuisines and methods. Maximum of 8 guests, suitable for individuals and groups. Overnight packages available. The sessions are demonstration only, so no special clothing is required. An ideal gift for yourself, family or friend

Derbyshire and the Peak District This beautiful part of the country offers much for the visitor. Within easy travelling distance from the hotel are stately homes including Chatsworth estate, Haddon & Hardwick hall. Bolsover castle, Matlock Bath, Bakewell and historic Chesterfield. The area is great for walking and cycling, with water sports, fishing, horse riding and other pursuits available close by.
