The Beacon is a self-contained ground floor flat, and is part of a listed historic town house dating from the 1850’s. Situated in the market town of Brecon, it is in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park in mid-Wales, yet only five minutes walk from the town centre.
Whether you want bed and breakfast, half or full board, at The Beacon you will enjoy a friendly welcome and personal service from your hosts, Joanna and Dafydd Jones.
Since we only offer hospitality to one booking at a time you can be assured of individual attention and very high standards of service and cleanliness.

The Beacon offers you a twin bedroom, ensuite shower room with toilet and basin, and your own living & dining room with comfortable chairs and colour TV. Wireless internet access is also available.
You have your own entrance via the back garden, so you can come and go as you please; there are no restrictions.
The garden is available for guests to enjoy. There is a terrace with garden furniture, as well as a lawned and floral area.
Secure storage facilities are available for cyclists, and drying facilities for walkers.
A ‘no smoking’ and ‘no pets’ policy ensures a clean environment
Meals
Your day begins with a choice of cereals, fruit juice, real coffee or tea, hot toast and home made jams,followed by a full cooked breakfast.
Vegetarians are also fully catered for, and we always serve organic milk and free range eggs.
Two course evening meals, cooked to order and often using produce from our own vegetable garden
The Brecon Beacons
The Beacon Guest House is set in the heart of The Brecon Beacons National Park which has something to offer everyone– gentle walks, challenging climbs, riding, cycling and water sports.
Brecon itself is steeped in history, with its Norman castle, Cathedral, two museums, and a town centre full of character.
It also has several art and craft galleries, a theatre, cinema, and leisure centre with indoor swimming pool.
Other local attractions include National Trust Properties, the National Botanic Garden of Wales, and the Big Pit National Mining Museum.
