Though there is a community college in Bishop's Castle, it is more of a high school that has a population of less than three hundred. This is the anomaly of Bishop's Castle: It has a confident grip on the pulse of today's youth despite the fact that it should theoretically only appeal to staid history buffs holding dusty old tomes.

To be fair, the fascinating history of the town is the kind of things historians dream about. Bishop's Castle dates back to Norman times and many of the relics from those days can be found in Bishop's Castle in relatively good condition. The town was in fact once a part of Wales and a part of England at the same time and many territorial disputes arose that can fill countless books by dedicated fans of these struggles. As such, many historians do in fact flock in droves to Bishop's Castle but they in fact are rather like the young crowds that come to the city for the night life; though their aims are different, their goals are the same: To derive pleasure while in the confines of the Castle.
