It pays to wander off the beaten track and look at villages hidden in the trees and behind wonderful golden stone walls which age has mellowed, rather than withered….there is an evasive spirit about the Cotswolds, its secret seems shared, offering a haven and interest to everyone, and none more so than the village of Oddington.
The village of Oddington lies some two miles east of the highest town in the Cotswolds, the market town of Stow on the Wold - "a meeting place on a rolling hill". There are many enchanting villages the absolute quintessence of English rural life and Oddington is no "Oddity" in this respect, as it dates back to the 11th century, is un-spoilt by tourism and still retains the character of the North Cotswolds.
Sleeping in a delightful woodland setting is the church of St. Nicholas, parts of which date back to the 12th Century and to this day has an interesting "doom" painting on its wall. This church continues to provide services and ceremonies for the village.

Blenheim Suites
Now for something a little different….
Complimentary to Blenheim Cottage we have coming "on line" in January 2003 two separate suites within the grounds, both offering privacy and views over paddock and fields, together with small secluded garden area.
These suites offer something a little different for the more discerning travelers as you have the choice of picking your own breakfast time, so no need to rush down for the 8:30 deadline!

Both the Paddock and Garden suites incorporate, on the lower floor wonderful "superking beds" (adaptable to twins), together with a comfortable sitting room area and an extra bonus of mini kitchen and breakfast bar. An open staircase leads to an exceptional bathroom where you can unwind in style - with slipper bath or shower whist taking in the wonderful relaxing view.
Who needs a full cooked English at 8:30am when we provide you with all the ingredients for a healthy alternative on the lines of "continental style" and added bonus of smoked salmon and eggs - but you have to scramble these yourself! Are you up to it, if so, don't forget the champagne (ssshh, this is available on request) and we will provide all the rest including the washing up and bed making!!
