The Brambles is a welcoming and friendly B & B, set in a pleasant countryside setting in an acre of ground with a large garden & pleasant views with the sound of wildlife all around, but still within reach of Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge Research Park & Vision Park at Histon, Cambridge Colleges and attractions. Also Ely Cathedral City, main roads i.e.; A14, A10, M11, & A1, rail stations near by Waterbeach 1 mile & Cambridge a short distance approx 5 miles.
We also have a large car park which can accommodate a dozen cars or larger vehicles.Dating back to the late 18th Century it was once a farm still having original barn and outbuildings. It has now been tastefully updated but retaining its own character, pleasantly furnished with the guests comfort in mind.
The three Double and 1 Twin Guests rooms are all with En-Suite bathrooms, well equipped with remote control colour TV, Tea, Coffee & beverage tray, iron and ironing board, Hair dryer, Multi plug points with two pin adapters. (We have a Z bed that can be used for a child in one of the rooms if requested, we also have a travel cot and high chair)
We have a seperate breakfast room with individual tables, serving a choice of breakfasts using local produce and locally made preserves.
We can give details of local pub / restaurants, Taxi services and are happy to book for you or we can provide transport by prior arrangement, bicycles can also be provided on request.We like to make our guests feel very welcome and are only too happy to help with any requests you have to make your stay with us as pleasant as possible.
Please note we have a non-smoking policy in the house.
Breakfast Menu
Breakfast is served from 7am - 8.30am on weekdays and from 8am - 9.30 at weekends and bank holidays.
BREAKFAST BUFFET
Guests may help themselves to cereals, a variety of fresh fruit, unsweetened grapefruit segments, prunes, dried fruit, yogurts and fruit juice. Locally produced marmalades and preserved with a choice of butter or low fat alternative will also be available.
Coffee, tea and brown and white toast are served to the table when you arrive for breakfast.

In addition you may also choose either of the following options below:
Cooked Full English - Egg (fried or scrambled), Bacon, Sausage, Tomatoes, Mushrooms and beans.

The Brambles Burrows
Self Contained Cottage/Apartment - Sleeps 2 - 4 people
The Brambles burrow is a recently converted (refurbished) ex farm outbuilding in beautiful scenic tranquil setting overlooking the garden with lots of wildlife to see (rabbits, squirrels and many varieties of birds). It is traditionally decorated with a vaulted ceiling, comprising of a fully equipped kitchen with split level cooker (oven, hob and hood), microwave oven, fridge, washing machine (use of tumble dryer or airer in newly built boiler house nearby), toaster, kettle plus all other necessary items needed.
The Lounge area has a double sofa bed, small dining table and chairs, TV with DVD and CD player and nest of tables with a lamp (with door off to shower room en-suite).
The bedroom area has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinet with lamp and patio doors that lead off this area onto our large garden (picture on home page).
The Brambles burrow is in Landbeach which is in a beautiful old unspoilt village, ideal location for Cambridge/Ely/Huntington and has a nearby Park & Ride. |
