The Broadacre is a small family run hotel on the Romney Marsh in beautiful South East Kent. The hotel is situated in a quiet street parallel to the High Street of New Romney.
Barbara Smith, family and staff aim to provide a pleasant and friendly atmosphere in the comfortable surroundings of the nine bedroomed hotel.
The hotel stands within its own walled grounds of about half an acre. The main entrance, six of the bedrooms and Sycamore Restaurant are believed to have been built in the 17th Century. The remaining bedrooms and restaurant date from the 1860's. |

New Romney became a Cinque Port Town in the 11th Century when the river Rother silted up and altered course. The town flourished as a port for many years until 1287 when the Rother again changed its course and moved westward to flow into the sea at Rye.
The Romney Marsh has been used as a location for several films in fact the Broadacre was shown in the film "Green Grow The Rushes" as was the Priory, St Nicholas Church and The Courtroom of The Townhall. |

The Broadacre Hotel Restaurant
The restaurant offers a good selection of home cooked dishes and traditional grills all served with seasonal vegetables. Vegetarian meals available.
The wine list currently having wines from France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Yugoslavia and own label house red and white.
Small celebration party's catered for.
The hotel restaurant is non smoking.
The Sycamore Bar Restaurant
Choose from a bar menu or the daily special dishes on the blackboard. The hotel restaurant menu is also available. Smoking is permitted in this restaurant.

New Romney provides an excellent base for travelling South East Kent and Sussex. A wealth of interesting places to visit, many open all year.
Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, Kent and East Sussex Railway.
Port Lympne Zoo Park. Lympne Castle and Gardens.
Ancient Churches at; Fairfield, Lydd, Old Romney, New Romney.
Brookland; Church and Belfry. Phillippine Craft Village.
Dungeness, Lighthouse, RSPB, and Power Station Exhibition.
Lydd Airport and Training Centre, for continental flights. Channel Tunnel 15 miles.
Travelling a little further, more of the South East can be explored. Folkestone 14 miles, Ashford 14 miles, Canterbury 25 miles, Dover 20 miles, Hastings 23 miles, Rye 19 miles.
Ashford International Railway Station for Eurostar and UK destinations
For outside or sporting interests, Romney Marsh Rambling/Walks or ideal for cycling.
RSPB hides at Dungeness and Rye. Windsurfing, sea or river fishing, bowling and golf are few of the activities that can be enjoyed. The Littlestone Golf Club has 18 and 9 hole courses, with other clubs at Ashford, Lydd, Hythe and Rye. |

All the bedrooms are comfortably furnished, with colour television, hot beverage making facilities, electric shaver sockets and radio alarm clocks. The Hotel is centrally heated.
