Broadwater Bed and Breakfast, Tunbirdge Wells

Broadwater is a tastefully presented Georgian style home and is ideal if youare looking for good quality accommodation in a quiet location close to Tunbridge Wells town centre.

Broadwater is located on the desirable south west side of Tunbridge Wells just a very short walk from the historical Pantiles, many excellent shops and restaurants and the railway station from which there is a frequent direct service to London in just 45 minutes on new air-conditioned trains.

We have attractive single, double and twin en suite rooms, each individually decorated with TV, radio and drinks making facilities. The twin beds join together to form a double bed with a king-sized duvet. We also have a spare bed which can be put into either the double or the twin en suite room so that a third person can share. There is plenty of off street parking and guests are welcome to relax in our beautiful garden and have a drink on the patio.

We offer a traditional full English breakfast and are happy to cater for any special food requests that you may have.

We are pleased to say that we have been awarded a "4 Diamonds" category by the English Tourism Council

Payment can be made in cash or cheques drawn on UK bank accounts (sorry but we do not have credit card facilities)

PLACES TO VISIT

Tunbridge Wells is located in a beautiful and convenient part of southern England on the Kent/Sussex border and is centrally located for very easy access to numerous famous historical sites and gardens, the M25, London, the Channel ports, Ashford International station (for high speed trains to Paris and Europe) and Gatwick and Heathrow Airports.

Hever Castle, Leeds Castle, Penshurst Place, Bodiam Castle, Knole Park and House, Ightham Mote and Sir Winston Churchill's home "Chartwell" are all within very easy reach by car or public transport.

For garden enthusiasts Sissinghurst Castle, Pashley Manor, Wakefield Place, Sheffield Park, RHS Wisley and Great Dixter are also all within easy reach.

London is just 45 minutes by train and the towns of Brighton, Eastbourne (for Beachy Head), Rye, Canterbury and Windsor (for the castle) all make an easy and enjoyable day trip from Tunbridge Wells. The South coast is also a very pleasant 45 minute drive away.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS & SURROUNDING AREA, SHOPPING AND EATING OUT

Tunbridge Wells itself, which developed around its Chalybeate spring on the famous Pantiles nearly 400 years ago, is an excellent shopping centre with many individual shops and the attractive Royal Victoria Place shopping mall. The town also adjoins a large area of Common and has attractive parks and areas of open space in which to relax.

The town boasts many excellent restaurants of all ethnic styles including Italian, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Thai, Mediterranean and traditional English.

Within a short distance of the town there are many picturesque villages where guests will find lovely old pubs offering good food and local beers.

HOW TO FIND US

From Tunbridge Wells Railway Station

On leaving the station forecourt, turn right by "Safeway" into Vale Road. After 100m feed left into London Road. Proceed 200m and turn left at the mini roundabout into Nevill Street which turns into Frant Road. Proceed for approximately 0.5 km and take the 2nd right into Montacute Road, Clarendon Way is 1st left and No 24 is 100m up on the right opposite the green.

From the M25 motorway

Leave the M25 at Junction 5 and take the A21 towards Hastings. After approximately 10km leave the A21 at the Tonbridge South A26 exit and proceed towards Tunbridge Wells. On entering Tunbridge Wells follow the signs towards the Pantiles bearing right at the first mini roundabout and after 2km turn left at the next mini roundabout into Nevill Street which turns into Frant Road. Proceed for approximately 0.5 km and take the 2nd right into Montacute Road, Clarendon Way is 1st left and No 24 is 100m up on the right hand side opposite the green.
