If you are interested in other outdoor activities then check out the walking trails of Bude. Bude is filled with walkways for you to enjoy. You can walk along the Canal and enjoy the greenery and wildlife. You can wander across the cliff-tops and enjoy the breath-taking scenery. Or you can stroll some of the picturesque country lanes of the town.

Not interested in walking around the town? Try cycling it instead. Bude offers cyclists a nice area of traffic free cycle path. It follows along the river Neet and then joins up with Route Three which then goes along some of the lovely country lanes. You can then either go north to the Tarka Trail or south towards the Camel Trail. Either trail is about a thirty minute drive from Bude and has lovely scenery to enjoy along the way.

Families can also enjoy one of Bude's theme parks. Here their teenaged kids can enjoy karting, or mountain-boarding while the younger kids can ride the merry-go-rounds. If animals are what they want to see then a visit to one of the many stately homes and gardens might be the ticket. Many of these have plenty of animals to see.

If wildlife is what you and your family is interested in then be sure to check out the marshes. The main reserve in the marshes is of course the reed bed. This area is home to many animals especially night heron, gargany duck, sandpipers, and many more. For those looking for some rare avian wildlife the marshes are a must stop.
