Carmarthen also boasts having its own soccer team which is called the Carmarthen Town F.C. which you can watch play, as well as two rugby teams, which are called the Carmarthen Quins and the Carmarthen Athletic, as well as many golf courses.

If you are worried about transportation, you can reach Carmarthen using the Carmarthen railway station which is in the West Wales Line and is linked via that line to close locations such as Cardiff and Swansea as well as places to the east like Milford Haven and Tenby and many other places. You can also use the inner city trains during your stay in Carmarthen, or use the Park and Ride facility which is available for use almost every day, and there are also major roads that arrive to Carmarthen from various other locations.
