Its tall narrow proportions are singularly Georgian in style and belie its spacious interior. Of particular note is its fine oriel window and elegant staircase with its unique winding balustrade. The present owners, Jenny and Robin Farndale, have undertaken a program of restoration and refurbishment to not only preserve important features but also provide their guests with the highest standard of modern day comfort.For guests there are three suites, each one has its own luxury bathroom with heated towel rail and cast iron bath with mixer taps. |

| All the bedrooms are furnished individually in a period look and well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, TV etc. Each room has a view of the delightful walled garden, as does the dining room where guests breakfast around the farmhouse table in front of an open fire when it is cold. |

There is something for everyone - places of interest include Cambridge, Bury St. Edmunds, Newmarket, Thetford Forest, Wicken Fen, Welney 'Wetlands Trust' and much more besides. Places of Interest Ely Cathedral The magnificent cathedral was founded by Etheldreda in 673, but the present church is mostly 12th century and a fine example of Romanesque architecture. Features include the Octagon Tower, the 14th century Lady Chapel, Prior's Door, painted nave ceiling and buildings comprising of what remains of the Benedictine monastery. Nine galleries tell the story from the Ice Age to modern times. From time to time actors play the part of prisoners in the cells and re-enact the visit of John Howard. Open All Year. 10.30am - 4.30pm daily except Bank Holidays. Oliver Cromwell's House The former home of the Lord Protector is open all year. Videos, exhibitions and period rooms tell the history of Cromwell's family home and gives a vivid portrayal of 17th century life. Hats and helmets to try, and a dressing-up box for children.
