Directions
From the North and South, leave M53 motorway at Junction 2. Follow signs Greasby, Frankby and Caldy (see map). Turn left into Hillbark Road and continue until you reach the Farmers Arms pub. Turn right (B5140) onto Montgomery Hill. At the next roundabout go straight across the A540 into Caldy Road. We are situated 400 yards on the right by the fields (white stones on the grass verge).

I do hope you like flowers, trees, shrubs and climbers. If you do, this is a garden to capture your imagination. There is always something to look at and always something to enjoy. Even the wildlife like coming here.
The garden surrounds the house offering many different views, of fields, woods and horses.
In Spring & early Summer Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Camellias, Magnolias, Cherry trees, and many other flowering trees and shrubs. Spring bulbs, Primulas, Bluebells, all offering fantastic colour.

Out and about

West Kirby is a traditional seaside resort with a Marine Lake, promenade, formal parks and elegant shopping parades. It's a starting point for walks across the sands to the Hilbre Islands Local Nature Reserve. Wirral Country Park includes the former West Kirby to Hooton railway, woodlands rich with wildlife and low cliffs near to Thurstaston Visitor Centre, grassy headlands rising above the miles of fine sands along the Dee Estuary. The views across to the Clwydian Mountains are superb.
Promenade and Marine Lake Stroll along the promenade and watch the fishermen rowing out to their boats. Or get wet yourself sailing, canoeing or windsurfing on the massive salt-water Marine Lake. Take a donkey ride or just relax on the award-winning sandy beach.
Hilbre Island A local nature reserve, with bird sanctuary, playful seals and also the islands famous dinosaur footprint (just check tide times before you visit!)

Places of Interest
Ellesmere Port The Blue Planet Aquarium is the largest in the country and is home to no fewer than 22 sharks!. The Boat Museum features 60 colourful boats, many of which can be boarded. Cheshire Oaks, Europes largest designer outlet, includes around 120 famous designer and brand names. The local market is open everyday apart from Wednesday.
Birkenhead The Heritage Centre, Hamilton Square where you can catch a tram (Birkenhead having the first tramway in Europe), Williamson Art Gallery & museum, Historic Warships, Wirral Museum, The Famous Mersey Ferries (the only true way to know Merseyside), Birkenhead Park, Liver Buildings, Woodside Ferries.
Port Sunlight This picturesque village was built in the 19th century for the local soap factory workers, the Heritage Centre explores the fascinating history of the village. The Lady Lever Art Gallery, houses a superb collection of pre-Raphaelite works, Wedgewood, and 18th century furniture.
Arrowe Park This is one of the largest parks in the Wirral with acres of woodland and meadows to walk through. There are also bowling greens, tennis courts, pitch and putt, and an 18 hole golf course.
Hoylake Recently added to the "future British Open Championship venues" list is the magnificent Hoylake - Royal Liverpool Golf Club (5 minutes from Cheriton). You are spoilt for choice when eating in Hoylake as it features very smart wine bars, traditional pubs, and also excellent continental cuisine.
Parkgate Feel the bracing west wind on the Marshes, whilst looking at the beautiful views across the Welsh Hills. Try the fresh shrimps and assorted seafood. Or visit the famous ice cream shop on the parade, with it's delicious and unusual range of flavours.
Ness The renowned University of Liverpool Botanic Gardens remain beautiful and colourful all year, and with the visitor centre, tea rooms and kiddies playground, it's ideal for the whole family.
Brimstage Found in the heart of rural Wirral, you'll find the Voirrey Embroidery Center and the Craft Centre with their regular touring exhibitions and courses. Also in the area is Brimstage Hall with it's 12th century crypt, and the delicious home-cooking of the Country Mouse Restaurant.
Liverpool There's just so much to do and see here that it's worth at least a couple of days alone. Albert Dock, Beatles Story, City Sight Seeing Tours, City Walks, The Cavern, Liverpool Ducks (Amphibious Sightseeing Tours), Merseyside Maritime Museum, Conservation Centre, Walker Art Gallery, Tate, Mersey Ferries, Exciting Shopping, Grand National at Aintree, Liverpool F.C. Museum & Tour Centre.
Chester This Roman & medieval walled cathederal city is only 30 minutes drive from Cheriton. It features a fascinating mix of Roman heritage, medieval remains and Victorian splendour. With plenty of Shops, a Museum, Bus Tours, Boat Trips, the River Dee, Racecourse, and Chester Zoo which was voted 'Best Zoo in the UK' by Holiday Which, there is more than enough to keep the whole family happy.
