An invitation from David and Marianna to relax smoke-free, in their elegant, Victorian house. It is pleasantly situated near lovely Bicclescombe park, the Cairn Nature Reserve and handy for the town and famous harbour.

Coastal Fringes is different and special. All furnishings and fittings have been chosen to show the house to it's best advantage.

Our Rooms - are spacious, fully En Suite and have been individually designed with your comfort in mind. They are themed on some of the great Film Stars of the Golden Age of Movies. We have tried to capture some of the elegance in our carefully chosen furnishings and pictures. Each room has a television, DVD, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities.

Breakfast - Each day start with breakfast. A full spread, designed to see you through the day ahead. We offer plenty of choice.

Dinner - For those who choose to dine at "Coastal Fringes", a four course dinner may be booked in advance. Everything is bought fresh daily from the local butcher and greengrocer and cooked by traditional methods.

Out and About

Your car can be parked right outside our front door in our own car park. Buses stop nearby. We are a short stroll away from Bicclescombe Park and Gardens and The Cairn Nature Reserve. We are very handy fro the town with its wide choice of places to eat and interesting friendly, family owned shops. We are also a short walk from the Historic Harbour, Aquarium, the fascinating Museums, famous tunnels Beaches and lovely coastal walks. We have a modern theatre, to an award-winning design, cinema and art galleries. We are also handy for touring the rest of beautiful North Devon with its Historic Houses like Arlington Court, chamercombe Manor and its sea faring tradition.

We are handy for Exmoor with its wildlife and heather-clad moors. We invite you to follow in the footsteps of Lorna Doone, R.D Blackmore's famous literary heroine. There is a dramatic coastline with beaches where surf rolls onto clean, uncrowded sands. Admire the beautiful nearby gardens of Marwood and the famous RHS Rosemoor. Indeed, Ilfracombe itself wins many awards for its foral display.
