Set in the grounds of a converted Cornish watermill, Coriander Cottages offers you a unique experience.

Located in the picturesque ancient port of Fowey in Cornwall, our cottages and garden suite rooms are an ideal base for visiting the county's enchanting gardens and world-famous Eden Project

Just like a hotel, our deluxe self catering barn is available on a nightly basis with bed and breakfast if required. Perfect if you enjoy the quality of a 5-star hotel but are reluctant to pay for facilities you rarely use. Take a look at our Cottages page for more information.

Whether you choose to explore Du Maurier Country, the fabulous Eden Project and the diverse gardens of Cornwall or just relax and enjoy the wildlife and stunning scenery of the Fowey River Valley, we hope your stay with us will create many magical memories for years to come.Choose from either the traditional Mill Cottage or either of our new 'Green' open-plan self catering barns; Badgers' Hollow or Back-a-Long Barn. Alternatively, let us look after you in one of our superb en-suite B&B rooms. All our garden suite B&B rooms have private terraces, either onto the courtyard or a private garden and all have private, direct access.

Fowey (pronounced 'Foy") is now a bustling small town of pretty whitewashed cottages, with a fine range of independent shops, bars and bistros with terraces out over the magnificent harbour.

Bed & Breakfast in Fowey

Located in Fowey, we offer bed and breakfast in three en-suite rooms, each with independent access from the olive garden and courtyard or the wild flower meadow. Each bedroom has a small fridge and microwave, ironing and hot beverage making facilities, LCD TV, DVD player and hairdryer.

A delicious full Cornish breakfast, cooked on the Mill House AGA, using local and award-winning produce, is served in the breakfast barn, or on a sunny Cornish morning, in the Olive Courtyard of preferred.

Mill Cottage

Mill Cottage is an attached traditional cosy cottage with private rear garden and courtyard terrace.
Mill Cottage was once part of the old watermill which dates from around 1720 and it is believed that there was once an old manor house in the grounds and the medieval stone wall still forms part of the rear garden to the cottage, which was called 'The Merry" and was used in medieval times as a meeting place.

The accommodation includes a bedroom with kingsize or twin beds and a smaller double bedroom. There is a good size shower room with tiled shower. The galley kitchen has a fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave and electric oven and hob. The comfortable sitting room has an LCD TV with DVD player, and the cottage is heated with oil fired central heating.

Dogs are permitted by arrangement, but are not permitted in the grounds to preserve the wildlife, but there some super woodland walks only minutes from the cottage, with streams and creeks for your dogs to swim. (we even provide old towels!)

There is parking available either at the rear of Mill Cottage or in the car park.

Badgers Hollow

A traditional Cornish winding lane leads to the secluded but accessible setting for Badgers' Hollow. Set in the grounds of The Old Watermill, Badgers' Hollow is a private barn with its own drive and parking and from the gravelled parking area, limestone steps lead up to a large terrace with garden furniture and stunning views over Fowey and the rolling countryside towards the sea.

Badgers' Hollow has been converted from the old cider barns of the mill and is open plan and spacious in design. The sleeping area has k/s or twin beds and has a natural, organic feel with silk filled duvet and organic, fair-trade sheets. Guests can sleep 'green' and comfortable in the knowledge that the teak furniture is FSC accredited from sustainable sources and the walls are either finished in natural lime render or 100% natural based paints and lambs wool cocoons the natural oak clad exterior walls. There is a balcony leading from the bedroom which overlooks the millpond and orchard, which catches the evening summer sun, allowing guests to maybe enjoy a Cornish Camel Valley wine from our cellar whilst observing the buzzard hunting for mice in the orchard, the entertaining antics of the ducks or the tumbling waterfall when the springs are running.

The sitting area opens onto the terrace and has a modern wood burning stove for the cooler evenings. There is a satellite LCD TV and DVD player and collection of films and books.
The kitchen is fully equipped with Neff appliances including a fridge/freezer, microwave, washer and dishwasher.

The luxury spa bathroom has a grand elegant feel with beamed high ceiling, stunning walk in wet room style shower and sunken Jacuzzi spa bath and even a hidden TV with waterproof remote control!
The oversize fluffy organic bathrobes and towels, warmed limestone flooring, aromatherapy oils and Soya candles make bathing an organic luxurious experience.

To balance our negative environmental impact, Badgers is powered by 100% renewable energy, solar panels heat the water and the under floor heating comes from a ground source heat pump. Any back up power is provided by green electricity. There is a rainwater harvesting system for the toilets and washer.
This barn is available on a nightly basis for self-catering or B&B with discount for 7 night stays, and please note pets are not permitted in this barn.
