Courtfield Hotel is situated on the outskirts of the Lake District.

A fine 18th Century house set in over three acres of lawned gardens.

With a warm welcome Mrs Robinson is always happy to greet you.

The Courtfield caters for all who visit Appleby whether their interests lie in fishing in the beautiful River Eden, walking the nearby fells or enjoying this ancient town.

Pony trekking and golf are available close by and a lovely Bowling Green is situated a few hundred yards away from the Hotel.

The Courtfield is an attractive and relaxing place to spend some time visiting the historic and beautiful Eden Valley.

There is a residents lounge and also a quiet lounge where you can sit to read, or write letters home telling of your wonderful holiday, you can also watch the television with the rest of your family.

Breakfast, lunch and evening meals are served in the dining room, and are prepared from locally purchased produce; the sausages are made in town to a secret recipe by our butchers wife, we of course can cater for any diet. Our meals are the finest around.

We have eleven bedrooms comprising of a mixture of double and twin bedded. They are all pleasantly decorated, and have colour television and tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers, clock radios and ironing facilities on request to use at your own leisure.

Location

From the South

Route 1:
A1 to Scotch Corner. Turn left along A66 towards Penrith for 35 miles to left turn to Appleby on B6542. After a further mile The Courtfield Hotel hand side of the road.

Route 2:
M6 to J38 Tebay. Turn left on to B6260 to Appleby (12 miles). On entering town follow main road down Boroughgate and across river. At T junction turn right for ½ mile. The Courtfield Hotel is on your right. Take care this route can be difficult in winter, also beware sheep particularly in lambing season.

From the North

Route 1:
A1 to Scotch Corner, then A66 as above.

Route 2:
M6 to J40 Penrith.

Left on A66 for 13 Miles to Appleby turn.

Left to town and keep on B6542 through the town until you see a church on your right.

You are facing the Courtfield Hotel.
