My wife Jo and I would like to welcome you to The Crown Hotel, a former coaching inn overlooking the quiet tree lined green known as The Buttlands. The hotel has been refurbished to retain its historic character whilst creating an atmosphere of uncluttered comfort.

We offer a range of accommodation including two family rooms which both have separate children's quarters and we are able to cater for children with a choice of restaurant or bar meals. For a special occasion the private dining room, which seats twenty people, is available.

Together with our staff, we are totally committed to making your visit an enjoyable and memorable one.

We offer our guests twelve light and airy bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and TV. Our two family suites also have video players and baby monitors.

The Menu features traditional favourites, the best of modern British cuisine, and dishes influenced by the cooking of the pacific Rim. Every dish is cooked and presented with flair and imagination. A superb wine list complements the menus.

The sunny Conservatory is a warm and cheerful place to eat breakfast or enjoy a bar meal. We welcome families with well behaved children and serve meals from the children's menu here.

In fine weather sit outside on our sheltered Sun Deck for an almost Mediterranean ambience.

Whether your interests are bird watching or days on the beach, golf or landscape-painting, country walks or visiting Norfolk's many historic churches and houses, when you stay at The Crown you are ideally placed to sample its many delights.

The Crown Bar, with its open fire and ancient beams, is a lively spot to drop in for a drink, or a light meal from the bar menu. Try the Crown Black Slate - a sampler of European and Asian appetizers served on a dramatic black slate tile.
