The Crown Hotel is a traditional family owned Coaching Inn originally known as “The Crown and Anchor”, when it was the local terminus of the Caernarfon to Pwllheli stage-coach service.

Renowned for its good food, comfortable atmosphere, polite service and friendly welcome, the Crown Hotel is situated on Pwllheli’s Stryd Fawr (High Street). The hotel is under the personal supervision of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jones and is open throughout the year.

A fully licensed free house with three bars, newly refurbished bedrooms and dining room, which as Lloyds Restaurant is open to non residents.

All bedrooms are modern with en-suite bathrooms or shower rooms, tea and coffee making facilities, televisions/DVD players, with a complimentary DVD library for guests.

About Us

The market town of Pwllheli in was one of the ancient boroughs created by the Black Prince in 1385. From the heights of Penygarn behind the town it is seen to consist of two parts. One is the old town with its interesting shops and open air market on the “Maes” each Wednesday, whilst the ‘other’ Pwllheli is the south beach, fronting 5 miles of sand and shingle. Pwllheli has an 18 hole golf course, excellent facilities for sailing and power boat racing and a harbour wall which fishes very well for bass.

The “capital” of the Lleyn Peninsula as it is known is not only an ideal centre for exploring the sandy coves of Lleyn, but it is also ideally situated for castled resorts such as Harlech and Caernarfon as well as the grandeur of Snowdonia.

Double Room £60.00
One double bed, T.V./DVD, tea and coffee facilities, en-suite shower room or bathroom and bureau.

King Size Room from £70.00
One king size bed, generally larger room overall, T.V./DVD, tea and coffee facilities, en-suite bathroom and bureau.

All prices include VAT at 17.5% and are on a Bed and Breakfast basis.

We also have single rooms from £40.00
