Darlington that is located in Durham is considered a ceremonial country which is located in the Durham county and is the main population center of the Darlingron borough. Darlington has a population of about 98,000 people and is the home to the football team called Darlington F.C., which is also known as The Quakers. It also houses the leading Rugby Union club in Darlington which is called the Darlington Mowden Park RFC.

If you want to use Darlington as part of a trip or if you want to know in which ways you can reach the city and other locations in the area, you have multiple options to choose from. You can either go by car or rent a car and take the A1 route which was once known as the Great North Road, and it reaches the very center of Darlington and runs through it, and you can take the A66 which is called the Darlington Eastern Bypass which opened back in the month of November - in the 25th, way back in 1985. You can also take the Darlington Eastern Transport Corridor which links you with the Haughton road (which is also known as Central Park, and reaches a new roundabout in the A66 road - it was opened back in 2008 during the summer. There is also the A1 motorway which opened way back in the month of May in the year 1965, and is commonly called the Darlington Bypass.

You can also opt to go by train via the Darlington railway station which is also called the Darlington Bank Top railway station, and is one of the mainlines in the East Coast area, and offers a regular service to many other places including Leeds, London, Wakefield, Edinburgh and many other places as well, so if you want to visit other locations quickly while visiting Darlington you are in luck.

You can also visit the large Victorian style clock tower that is located in the Darlington railway station.

You can also take buses to the town, to various locations and tourist attractions in it, as well as stagecoaches. Darlington has been chosen to be one of the three most sustainable travel demonstration towns back in 2004, and has been conducting a research to ensure that it can deliver sustainable travel choices. Darlington is also known as one of the sex most sought after cycling demonstration towns - it was chosen back in 2005.

The town has been linked to national cycle routes and had seen major improvement in its local cycling routes and roads.

You can also reach Darlington by taking the airport which is located only five miles from the center of the town, and is called the Durham Tees Valley Airport and has flights to both domestic and international locations from all over the world, and there are buses and taxis close to the airport to take you to wherever you need to go to. The city is also famous for its many educational establishments.
