Dorset House, CambridgeDorset House is located in the village of Little Shelford, just four miles from the historic city of Cambridge, and less than five minutes drive from the M11 motorway. It is situated in its own extensive grounds, set well back from the road behind a red brick wall, complete with mature gardens and duck pond, the home of our nimental ducks.

The house, built in the 1930s, has been completely modernised and refurbished in Dorset cottage style, with open fireplaces, and wooden beams, which lend the house a cosy, welcoming atmosphere.Dorset House, Cambridge

Dorset House, CambridgeWe offer single, double and family rooms, with vanity basin or en suite facilities. Each individually decorated bedroom has central heating, colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, radio alarm clock and hair dryer. Ironing facilities are available on request. English and continental breakfast is served in our lovely dining room.

Little Shelford is situated off the A10 through Hauxton, just three miles from Cambridge. In the village is the pretty church where visitors can spend an afternoon brass rubbing. Three quarters of a mile away lies Great Shelford, where shops, a bank and a main line railway station can be found. Just a short journey from the village, visitors can see Audley End, a fine Jacobean house,Wimpole Hall Country House and Home Farm, the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, Linton Zoo and for the racing enthusiast, Newmarket racecourse and stud. Cambridge is also a good centre from which to visit the famous cathedrals of Ely and Peterborough in the Fenland, with its varied flora and fauna and interesting history.
