 | Bedrooms
All our rooms have been decorated to a high standard and we have tried to include everything we can to make your stay both comfortable and enjoyable. Every room has beautiful countryside views over rolling farmland to the sea in the distance at the mouth of the river Dart.
To ensure you get a good nights' sleep the beds are top quality with pocket sprung mattresses, pure cotton sheets and soft feather duvets. If you have a problem with feathers just let us know as we have some anti-allergenic duvets and pillows. All the rooms have en-suite facilities with shaver sockets, decent showers (the twin bedroom also has a bath) and lashings of hot water. There are tea and coffee making facilities, a TV, a dressing table and hair dryer, and a bedside clock radio with CD player. There is also plenty of wardrobe and draw space for all your belongings. |
Breakfasts
The key to a good breakfast is freshness and we are very spoiled for fresh local produce in The South Hams, especially here in Dittisham. The ingredients for a superb English breakfast are all available here with locally produced sausages, bacon and eggs topping the list. In addition we always have a selection of cereals, fruit and fruit juices.
We can also offer home baked bread with marmalade, or locally produced honey or plum jam. Dittisham is famous for its plums and they certainly make superb jam!
If a traditional English breakfast is not your desire, perhaps you would prefer poached eggs, "eggy-bread" or scrambled eggs, maybe with some locally smoked salmon? Or tomatoes, mushrooms or beans on toast? Perhaps you would prefer a continental-style breakfast of cheese and ham? Whatever you fancy just ask, if we can do it we will be happy to oblige. | |
 | Guest Lounge
Relax in our cosy guest lounge where we have included several facilities and conveniences to make your stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.
To welcome you on arrival or at the end of a hard day's fun you can help yourself to a slice of cake (or crumpet or maybe fresh homebaked bread and jam), which will be waiting for you in the lounge.
There is also a small refrigerator where you will find plenty of fresh milk for your tea or coffee. One of our pet hates is those nasty little plastic pots of UHT milk found in many hotels and B&B's, and usually issued in severely rationed quantities. You won't find them here - only fresh milk and in decent quantity will do! You are most welcome to use the 'fridge for your own items and you will always find some ice cubes in the ice-box.
Use our permanent wireless broadband connection to access the internet via the PC in the guest lounge or your own laptop.
There is a selection of board games and plenty of books that you are very welcome to borrow along with local maps and guides. |
Prices from £72 per room bed and breakfast
We are pleased to accept payment by cash or cheque. Please make cheques payable to I and K McMaster.
We would respectfully advise guests that we are a non-smoking house.
