The house over the years been comprehensively upgraded to an exacting standard, retaining many features and charm from a bygone era, now a listed building set in a small conservation area in Rosneath, near. Helensburgh. Easter Garth is set within private grounds offering a peaceful, friendly and relaxing atmosphere for the enjoyment of all guests.
Built in 1838 for the Minister of the Church of Scotland, the house is steeped in history, with many Royal connections. Queen Victoria's daughter, Princess Louise was Patron to the Church, she was married the Duke of Argyll and lived locally in Rosneath Castle - she was regular visitor to the Church and attended Fetes held in the grounds. The original Victorian tiled flooring in the hall was laid in her honor Also the former Minister, Dr. Story was in 1886 appointed Chaplain to Queen.
We will help make your stay a memorable one. All of our double rooms are able to cater for an additional guest. We have a suite "French Connection" which is ideal for families or a party of friends. We take care of all our guests and try to do that little extra, so please don't hesitate to ask.
The house is located on the Rosneath Peninsula, close to the A817 with easy connections to the A82, Loch Lomond, Luss & The Trossachs National Park.
