Eldon Country Hotel was built in 1842 as one of the Grand Vicarages of the Craven Area. It now combines the elegance and charm of a Victorian country house with all the requirements of a modern hotel.

The elegantly furnished drawing room has a welcome log fire, a relaxing place where you can peruse the available books, newspapers, and other literature which will help you to discover the beauty of the Dales.

Double en-suite bedrooms are available including one on the ground floor, all spacious and well appointed with central heating, colour television and tea/coffee making facilities.
The Dining Room overlooks the garden to the front and has facilities for small and large parties.
Sauna and Spa Bath is provided for your use by individual or group arrangement.

The local area
Preston us a typical Dales Village situated on the A65, The main road though to the Lake District, just three miles from the Market town of Settle, 8 miles from Malham and 11 miles from Skipton. Long Preston has been awarded the prize for the Best Kept Village for two years. The village boasts a Green where Dancing around the Maypole has become an annual event for the school children. The local church features some lovely Jacobean architecture and is well worth a visit.
Settle is a bustling market town with many attractions. The colourful outdoor market is held every Tuesday in front of the 17th century shambles.
While in Settle take a gentle stroll of about one mile to the peaceful village of Giggleswick with its old whitewashed cottages, Ancient Market Cross by the Church and the now famous public school founded in 1512 with its copper-domed chapel.
