Tywardreath

This lovely rural Cornish village was an inspiration to Daphne Du Maurier who was moved to feature the village in her classic novel "The House on the Strand". The sweeping valley landscape offers beautiful countryside views, whilst the village is well served by a selection of shops and local pubs.

Par beach and the south west coast path is a short walk from the village and nearby towns of Fowey, St Austell and Mevagissey are a bus ride away

Directions from A30:

Take A391 towards St. Austell. At the junction with A390 turn left towards Liskeard. At the first roundabout turn right onto A3082, past Par Docks, then take 1st right following signs to Newquay Branch Line, turning left out of one way system then 1st right into Tehidy Road.

Par mainline railway station is a short walk from the hotel.
