Etruria House is one of the finest Victorian properties in Broomhill and derives its name from the deeds dated 1875 when John Armitage extended two dwellings listed in deeds dated 1794.
Etruria is a small state in Italy, which was noted for its pottery clay which was used by Joshua Wedgewood and the name Etruria was carried to Stoke on Trent. Armitage used similar clay to build the property.
