The Everley Guest House is ideally situated within walking distance of Southsea seafront, South Parade Pier, Canoe Lake and the Kings Theatre.

A short bus ride (approx.2 miles) takes you to the Gunwharf Quays Shopping Centre, the IOW Ferry Port, and Portsmouth's Historical Dockyard.

We are also just a 10 minute car ride away from the Continental Ferry Port and you can reach London by train in 1.5 hours.

All our rooms have colour t.v., complimentary tea and coffee, shaver points, hot and cold running water, central heating, comfortable beds with duvets and fluffy towels. Use of baby's cot, hairdryer and iron are available on request.
En-suite rooms are also available.

Freshly cooked English Breakfasts are served in our spacious dining room from 7.30 to 9.00 am weekdays and from 8.00 am to 9.30am Saturday and Sunday. Special diets can be catered for with advance warning. Children are very welcome and we have toll-free road parking.

We will be happy to give you advice on local attractions and on arrival you will be given your own keys with no restrictions.

EVERLEY GUEST HOUSE ACCESS STATEMENT

The Everley Guest House is a Victorian semi detached building in Southsea with nine guest rooms.Bookings can be made by telephone (02392 731001) or by email at everleyguesthouse@ntlworld.com All bookings require a deposit and an approximate arrival time. Please note, our latest check in time for arrivals is 20:00 hours.

We have no private car park but on street parking is free. Buses stop about one hundred metres from the guest house and the nearest station is Fratton which is approximately one mile away. However, if you want to catch a bus to the guest house it is better to stay on the train until you reach Portsmouth Harbour Station at the end of the line as this is right next to the bus terminus. From here you need the number 6 or the 17/18. Ask for The Festing Hotel stop which is next to a large put on the corner of our road. Taxis in Portsmouth are plentiful and reasonably inexpensive. The entrance to the guest house from the pavement is one metre wide and has one step 170mm high. A paved forecourt leads to the storm porch which allows an access width of 870mm.A low threshold and a doormat are crossed to enter the front door. It is four metres through a carpeted hallway to the stairs. The shallow stepped, carpeted, staircase has the following dimensions; width-one metre, rise-180mm and tread 270mm. There are no downstairs guest bedrooms.

The only public area is the fully carpeted dining room which is lit by six sixty watt bulbs. The dining room is open between 7.15am and 9.00am from Monday until Friday and from 8.00am until 9.30am at the weekends. We do not have a guest lounge. There is a public toilet and bathroom with vinyl flooring at the top of the first flight of stairs.

Most of the guest bedrooms have a small en-suite bathroom containing a shower, a toilet and a hand basin. Two standard single bedrooms share the public bathroom. All rooms are non smoking and are monitored by a smoke detector. If the alarm is triggered please exit by the front door. In the event of a fire we will check that all our guests have left the building and provide assistance if required.
