The Village
Village Green The village of Brickendon is largely centred upon the village green; a wonderful open space which includes children's play area with swings, see saw and slide along with a small football pitch and natural pond for your enjoyment.
Tennis Courts The village offers two superb tennis courts a minute's walk from the Barn and bookings can be made through Fanshaws Barn.
Local Pub If you fancy just a quick pint or a few, then The Farmers Boy is ready and waiting for you. Looking out over the Green they serve some excellent food either in the restaurant or in the gardens and are open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Golf Club Set in beautiful countryside Brickendon Grange is where you can find an 18 hole golf club. You don't have to be a member, you can just turn up and tee off.
Train Station Brickendon Green is fortunate to be served by regular train services to and from London and Cambridge. Bayford station is located just outside the village on the way to the next village of Bayford. It is a 10 minute walk down hill from Fanshaws Barn.
Walks If you're into the healthier side of living then you may like to take a stroll or a walk through nearby Broxbourne woods. There are also many countryside paths to take advantage of. In fact the local ramblers are often seen in the area and 15 minutes away is Hertfordshire's very own Celtic camp. |
