This is a family run 400 acre stock farm with a panoramic view over Rescobie Loch. Turin carries a herd of suckler cows and a flock of pedigree Charollais sheep. Guests enjoy a relaxing holiday in a friendly atmosphere. West Mains of Turin Farmhouse is situated just over 4 miles east of Forfar on the Forfar-Montrose road (B9113) in the Lunan Valley.

There are many places of historic interest in the area. Glamis Castle and Kirriemuir are a little over 10 miles to the west, the Angus Archives at Restenneth Priory, whice houses and preserves 800 years of the areas history of Angus and the standing stones of Aberlemno are within a short distance, while the ruins of Kemps Castle Fort are situated on the family land overlooking the farm buildings.

Pitmuies Gardens, Rescobie and Balgavies Lochs are close by and trout fishing permits can be arranged for the keen angler. Fishing is also available locally on the rivers north and south Esk. Hill walking, horse riding and other outdoor pursuits are also well catered for in this area around Turin. There are numerous golf courses in the area, Forfar, Letham Grange, Brechin, Montrose, Edzell, Kirriemuir, to name a few. A twenty minute drive takes you to the famous Carnoustie championship course of forty five minutes over the Tay road bridge to the world famous course at St. Andrews. Forfar also has swimming baths and a well equipped leisure centre.

The Farmhouse has full central heating and the spacious bedrooms all with enauite facilities.

Our accommodation is of a high standard providing en suite and private bathrooms in our family room, a double room and a single/double bedroom, all with colour TV's, radio alarm clocks and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a spacious lounge with a log burning fire to relax in. TV, DVD's games etc for your enjoyment.

Ample car parking space is available (at guests' risk).

Our farm is 1 hour from Aberdeen, 1 hr 30 min from Edinburgh and 2 hrs from Glasgow. Only 30 mins north of Dundee and 20 mins from good sandy beaches. An excellent area for touring, hill walking etc. Several good golf courses nearby with Carnoustie only 20 mins drive.
