Described by Nikolaus Pevsner in 'The Buildings of England' as 'that prodigy of timber-framed houses' and, more recently, in the New Tork Times as 'the most handsome inn in the world'. The Feathers Hotel is internationally recognized for its beautiful Jacobean architecture and medieval heritage. Situated at the heart of the ancient market town of Ludlow, there are excellent craft and antique shops and a wealth of historic buildings, all within easy walking distance. Being so central, The Feathers Hotel has been for centuries an important meeting point for the local community and visitors enjoy its lively atmosphere particularly during the annual arts-dedicated Ludlow Festival, which takes place during the last week of June and the first week of July. Accommodation The Feathers Hotel has forty bedrooms including five luxury rooms, all with Jacuzzi bath, four fours-poster rooms and two family rooms. In the evening the Bar is a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail before dinner in the Restaurant. Functions and Weddings The Feathers is an ideal venue for conferences, presentations, weddings and other important functions. Location Situated on the River Teme in the county of Shropshire, Ludlow is on the A49 between Shrewsbury and Hereford. It is linked to M5/M6 by the A456 through Kidderminster. Ludlow has fast and direct trains from Cardiff, Crewe, Hereford, Liverpool, London (via Newport), Manchester, North Wales and Shrewsbury.
