Surrounded by charm, history and a wealth of interesting places and things to do - from farmer's markets to historical venues, and wonderful scenery for leisurely drives.
We are able to offer four bedrooms, all newly refurbished to the highest standards. Tasty and substantial breakfasts are served in our luxurious dining room, in addition to the provision of a private lounge for guests complete with deep, comfortable sofas for complete relaxation.

We have a French room called "Le Chambre Blanc" (The White Room) for special occasions. Birthdays, anniversaries, and other events can be hosted here.
We are able to supply the finest Belgian chocolates, fresh flowers, romantic music, and more for these occasions. Please contact us if you wish to use our facilities, as advance notice is essential to get the event "just right"! |
Field View is situated close to Audley End, which hosts several concerts and events throughout the year.
We are able to provide transportation to and from the concert, complete with a packed picnic of cheeses, salami, cooked meats, fresh speciality breads, fruit juice, wine, and dessert. Field View Bed & Breakfast is situated in the pretty market town of Saffron Walden. The town is located in northwest Essex some 50 miles from London, but in a largely unspoilt rural area.
The name of the town originated from the rare saffron crocus, once used as a medicine and an ingredient in cooking. The Quakers built many of the historic buildings, remain largely untouched by industrialisation. There are the remains of a small castle, and a pretty church.
Saffron Walden is one of the finest preserved examples of a medieval market town and is quintessentially English. Within its fantastic Conservation Area you can find examples of every style of architecture dating from the 12th to the 21st century. Stansted airport is easily accessible and Cambridge is just 15 miles away. |
