The Fjaerland enjoys panoramic sea views across a colourful, landscaped square. With a warm, friendly family run atmosphere and a fine reputation for it's high standards of clean, comfortable accommodation. It is registered with the English Tourist Board 4 Stars, Food Safety Award 5 Stars.

Whether on holiday or business the Fjaerland is ideally situated to access all the popular attractions Great Yarmouth's famous 'Golden Mile' has to offer. The Britannia and Wellington piers, The Marina leisure centre with it's heated pool, wave machine and sports and leisure activities, and the Atlantis Resort family entertainment complex are all but a short stroll from the Fjaerland. Great Yarmouth Golden Mile refurbished for 2007, beautiful sandy beach, Peter Jays Circus Entertainments.

Along the seafront is the road train and horse & carriage rides, not forgetting the tourist hop-on hop-off bus. Explore the historical South Quay with museums operating during the summer season, the Time and Tide Museum plus much, much more. The Maritime Festival held every September is also not to be missed.

Introduction

The Fjaerland enjoys four star rated guest accommodation with licensed bar and separate TV room. The double fronted building over looks 2 grass squares onto the seafront and beach. Most rooms have sea views. Town centre is a comfortable 10 minute walk.

Pre Arrival

The train station is approx 10 minutes away by car.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

A residents on road parking scheme outside the premises and nearby roads is in operation and permits are issued free of charge to our guests.

Main Entrance and Reception

There is a 3 ½ inch step up to the frontage of the property into the building. All doors on the ground floor are wide for wheelchairs and fronted terraced building with Georgian styled windows to front elevations. The inner door is always open for access to reception desk during opening times. Reception, with bell, is located inside entrance to dining room. The hallway, reception, dining room and TV room areas are all carpeted.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

Dining room, reception, separate TV room, separate licensed bar - seating 36 and public W.C are all on the ground floor. There are 2 staircases, on either side of the building, that join together on the first floor. All the bedrooms in the building are accessible via either staircase. One staircase has fifteen steps to the first floor and a further 13 steps to a large family room. The second staircase through the dining room has 15 steps to the first floor and a further 13 steps up a carpeted spiral staircase to a large family room with beamed ceiling.

Breakfast is served in the large split level dining room - seating 32. All separate tables. Tables are square and chairs are without arms. There are 10 tables seating 2 people and 3 tables seating 4 people. There are high chairs available and room for pushchairs. Menus are provided in large print.

Separate large licensed bar seating 36. There is game machine, TV and 5 small round separate tables.

Small TV room (food and drink not allowed) with comfortable sofa for reading, resting, children etc. Advertising leaflets on display.
