The Florida is an attractive family run non-smoking guest house rated 4 star by Visit Britain. We are situated just 80 yards level walk from the seafront, sandy beaches and within easy reach of the town centre and harbour. We are open all year.

We personally prepare excellent full English or continental breakfasts which are served in our attractive dining room looking out onto the sun terrace. We are also happy to prepare vegetarian breakfasts upon request. Feel free to relax in our comfortable residents lounge with cable television, magazines and books.

The English Riviera

The English Riviera, which covers the three towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, is a resort in the truest sense of the word, attracting thousands of visitors of all ages and interests throughout the year.

There is plenty to see and do in Paignton. The hotel is a short walk from the seafront, Apollo Cinema and the many shops, pubs and clubs in the area.

Families love Paignton. Its long sandy beaches, colourful atmosphere, paddler-friendly waters and first class attractions are the essential ingredients for a magical family holiday.

During the summer months life seems to revolve around the seafront which comes alive to the sound of laughter and holiday fun. But there is also another side to this distinctive seaside town, which can be found in the elegance of Oldway Mansion, the green coastline around Elberry Cove and the architecture of Palace Avenue and Torbay Cinema. You may like to follow the nature trail of Paignton Zoo or travel by steam railway along the coastline.

At night Paignton's seafront comes alive with illuminations and is perfect for an evening stroll. By coach, boat or train, there are countless attractions and so many places to visit during your stay.

Special 3 and 4 night breaks available from November until February (excluding Christmas and New Year).Torbay out of season boasts its mild climate attracting people of all ages who enjoy theatres, walking and many other attractions. Nearby historic Dartmouth and Totnes also add to make a memorable holiday or short break.
