Visit our delightful four star Bed and Breakfast or Self Catering accommodation in the New Forest National Park. Join us for a peaceful stay in a tranquil New Forest Setting.
Lower Windyeats is a lovely country cottage situated in the New Forest National Park on the B3080, about eight miles south of historic Salisbury, five miles from the Market town of Fordingbridge and just over an hours drive from London.
We offer a wonderful full English breakfast but we can cater for other tastes if required. We have en-suite double or twin rooms.
We have four self catering cottages for those wishing to enjoy the Forest and its surrounds at their own pace. |
We have a no smoking policy in all rooms and cottages
There are several restaurants and pubs nearby that offer good food and varied menus.
Prices:
Our prices are from £60 for a double en suite room, from £60 for a twin room and from £50 for a single person.

Local facilities:
We have lovely forest walks just beyond the garden, horse riding is available nearby, as is the Avon river if you enjoy fishing. Cycling and walking are recommended and is a healthy way to enjoy the wild ponies, deer, donkeys and pigs etc. that wander freely in the forest. There are two golf courses only minutes away, and we are close to many nearby attractions such as Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge, Old Sarum Castle and SalisburyRacecourse. Lyndhurst, Lymington, Southampton and Bournemouth are all in striking distance, as are day trips to the Isle of Wight. |

How to get to us:
From the M27 Junction 1 (Cadnam roundabout)
Follow signs for Brook and Fordingbridge
After approximately 2 miles at Brook, bear left for Fordingbridge just after The Bell Inn. After approximately 3 miles at the fork in the road, bear right for Downton B3080. Lower Windyeats Cottage is found after 1 mile on the right hand side just before the cattle grid in the road.
From Salisbury or Bournemouth
Take the A338 into Downton. Turn into the Borough (B3080) at the Bull traffic lights. Proceed through the Borough and on into Woodfalls (approx 2miles) Continue on past the Old Inn on your right and then the Woodfalls Inn on your left for a further 2 miles approximately till you go over the cattle grid in the road and enter the New Forest. Lower Windyeats cottage is found 100 yards after the cattle grid on the left hand side. |
