It now boasts a wide range of shopping and leisure facilities including designer clothes, shops, beauty and hairdressing salons. In addition on the doorstep are located top class golf courses, Oulton Park motor racing circuit, ancient castles, riding stables, Beeston Market, Stapeley Water Gardens and many other places of interest - there is even a candle factory a few miles away. Geographically, Tarporley is situated centrally for commuting to the north or south of the country, the M6 and M56 motorways are a short drive away. The market town of Nantwich and the historic walled city of Chester are only 10 miles away and two main railway stations are located at Chester and Crewe. | Access Statement for the Foresters Arms Bed and Breakfast Introduction Our aim is to try and cater for the needs of all of our guests who stay at the Foresters Arms public house. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help. Pre Arrival
The main car park is on a slight incline and will accommodate about 12 cars. There are no marked parking bays. It is illuminated in the evening. There are a pair of double gates which lead to the rear entrance of the pub. The front entrance is at street level with no steps. There are rear entrances, either by means of a wooden ramp with a handrail which is accessible by a wheelchair through double opening doors, -110-cms wide. This leads into the pub lounge area. There is also or a single door,70 cms wide and a step, 10.3 cms high, which gives access to an entrance hall, 75 cms wide, which leads to the pub lounge area and also the residents rooms. This door is for residents access outside the normal pub opening hours, and when locked can be opened with a key which is fitted to the room key. If any guests have problems in gaining access, a door bell is fitted to this entrance and pressing it will bring assistance from staff. There are 13 steps to the staircase which leads to the guests bedrooms, at the top of the stairs is a corridor where the 6 bedrooms are fed from a landing area. This measures 13 metres long and 155cms at its widest point. In addition along the corridor is 2 steps, each step is 20 cms high. Main Entrance, Entrance and Ticketing Area On arrival, guests should make their way towards the lounge area and check in with a member of the bar staff, by giving their name, where they will be asked to fill in a registration form and will be given a room key and shown to their designated room. The staff are here to help all staying guests with any issues with regard to meal times, taxi's and information which they may require. Public Areas-General.(Internal) The floor covering for the hallway is made from laminated wood, the stairs and corridor is short pile carpeting, as is in all of the guests bedrooms.Corridors have a neutral colouring and all areas are well lit at night.The breakfast and dining area are situated on the ground floor.The public WC in the ladies and gents toilets are on the ground floor. The gents floor covering is tiled and the ladies is short pile carpeting. Dining and Breakfast Area There are 4 rectangular tables in the dining room area, measuring 90 cm long,67 cms wide and leg room from the floor of 60 cms and a leg on each corner. Tables have 4 chairs accompanying each one with padded seats. All furniture is flexible and can be moved around to suite all needs. Laundry Not available. Shops Not available on site, but a Spar store and petrol station situated opposite the Foresters Arms. Leisure Facilities Not Available. Outdoor Facilities There is a beer garden situated at the rear of the pub with 8 tables and fixed seating attached. 7 of the tables are circular and measure 120 cms diameter and the 8th table is rectangular, measuring 120 cms long and 66cms wide.
