Welcome
This enchanting, 17th Century inn is in the small Somerset hamlet of Rudge, just 10 miles from the Georgian City of Bath and 4 miles from Longleat Safari Park. The Full Moon has been providing a refuge to locals and visitors alike for hundreds of years. It has earned itself reputation for fine food and comfortable accommodation - and the hospitality it offers to guests new and old.
The award winning Full Moon serves wonderful food from an extensive and varied menu, has a friendly bar serving local ales and comfortable ensuite bedrooms. More recently, beautiful self-catering cottages and an indoor pool (open from mid February to end October) have been added which all guests staying overnight are welcome to use. The surrounding countryside has a number of wonderful walks and a wealth of places of interest to visit. Fishing, shooting, horse riding and golf can be easily organised for guests. |  |
Rooms
The Full Moon at Rudge has comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms in the main building and in the new Courtyard Cottages. All rooms have ensuite facilities, telephone and modem points. Guests are welcome to use all the facilities including the indoor swimming pool. All bedrooms are non-smoking. Dogs with well behaved owners are welcome but we cannot allow them in the dining areas. There are two ground floor bedrooms with specific facilities for the disabled. |  |
Cottages
If you wish to stay in one of the lovely self-catering cottages these are available for stays of 2 nights or more. Each cottage is warm and cosy, beautifully decorated throughout with comfortable furnishings and has a well equipped kitchen. Cottages range from 2 to 4 bedrooms. Two of the cottages have access for wheelchairs and are fully equipped with disabled facilities. We do not allow smoking in any of our Cottages. Special rates are available for longer stays or larger groups. |  |
Dining
The Full Moon at Rudge has deservedly earned a reputation for excellent food, attracting visitors from near and far. Each meal is prepared using only the freshest of ingredients. The talented young chefs strive to use the best of West Country produce sourcing cheeses and meat, using fish caught daily and ensuring that flavoursome seasonal vegetables are included in the menu. These change regularly reflecting what the seasons have to offer. If you would particularly like something which you do not see on the menu - simply ask - if we have it we will be delighted to prepare it for you. Delicious picnics can be prepared for you if you are a guest and wishing to spend the day out walking or cycling. |  |

With a reputation for excellent food, seamless service, a friendly bar and accommodation for overnight guests which include the use of our indoor pool, all situated in the beautiful surroundings of the Somerset countryside yet only a mile from the A36, The Full Moon provides an ideal location for weddings, reunions, family parties and business dinners. So that every event is perfect, we offer the services of our staff to help with organisation, we try to ensure that individual touches are included and always personally oversee the arrangements to make sure the occasion is special in every way. Golf Breaks
The Full Moon is situated just few minutes drive through beautiful country lanes from the outstanding Orchard Leigh Golf Course. A special package has been created to take full advantage of the close proximity of the course by combining it with delicious food and a wonderful night's stay in the Inn. The package runs from Saturday lunchtime to Sunday morning, any weekend throughout the year except Bank Holidays.
Price is £115.00 per person based on two people sharing, for groups of eight or more.
Included in the package are 36 holes of Golf (18 Sat pm 18 Sun am), Lunch and 3 course Dinner (Sat) Full English Breakfast (Sun) and 1 night's accommodation. All guests will be welcome to use the facilities of The Full Moon at Rudge including the indoor swimming pool. |  |
