The George Metro hotel is a modern boutique hotel offering bed and breakfast, which has been meticulously converted from an eighteenth century coaching inn. Behind its original façade which captures and retains a taste of the past, lie the state of the art facilities of a luxury hotel at affordable prices. A showcase of modern, eye catching design and décor, comfort, style and elegance suitable for the businessman, tourist or family.

Accommodation

The George will have 14 deluxe rooms 10 of which are suites and 4 of which are apartments when the work is completed. Equipped with every need, including Internet access, they are a fine example of attention to detail, with an elegant finish in keeping with the minimal and fresh, yet warm feel of the entire hotel.

Each suite has a bedroom, en-suite bathroom and lounge whilst each apartment has two bedrooms with en-suite facilities and a lounge between them. All the rooms have direct dial phones, Internet connection, computer, mini kitchen, television, ironing facilities and a safe.

Breakfast is normally served in the suite unless a group require to dine together when the conference room can be used. Whilst there will be a bar for conferences we can supply a drinks pack for the fridge in the room if you require it. The hotel restaurant is to be franchised out and will be open late 2005, however in the room you will find a list of the wonderful restaurants available in the area.

Due to come on-line in three stages from March 2005 the hotel will by then be able to host small conferences.

The main conference suite, opening in the Autumn, 2005, is designed to meet the most modern of standards with direct dial phone, Internet access (wi-fi & cable via 2MB ADSL). There is a projector which can be attached to a laptop computer, white board, overhead projector, slide projector, video, DVD, TV, plus tea & coffee making facilities.

Parking

There is a car park at the rear of the hotel which is used by shoppers during the day but is clear by 5pm each day. A map is available from our website where you can also get a 360 view of the suite.

The reason to come to the area is to enjoy the wonderful gardens, scenery or golf which set this apart.
