The great city of Girvan is one of the best examples of the natural beauty that can be found all throughout Scotland but more notably in the South Ayrshire part of the country. Here you'll find all of the wonderful and gorgeous features that make up the quintessentially Scottish experience: Rolling hills, sweeping cliffs, and gorgeous coastlines merge into one fantastic feast for the senses. It is little wonder, then, that Girvan is a wildly popular destination for holiday travelers looking for a seaside resort that boasts more natural splendor than manmade diversions. This isn't to say that the lovely resorts and hotels in Girvan aren't topnotch and highly enjoyable, though; on the contrary, Girvan boasts some downright fantastic vacation spots that allow you to revel in luxury as you gaze longingly at the incredible scenery. The Royal Hotel in particular is a great spot to stay and it offers some of the best local fish in town as well as real ale made in the hotel. All year there are exciting boat trips that allow visitors to see the lovely sea and bay and even take a trip to the Firth of Clyde. It is here that a tourist can lay eyes on the lovely Ailsa Craig and, if you're lucky enough to be visiting during the summer months, you can take a classic paddle steamer trip on the Waverly line all around this impressive landmark. |
