Rooms and Facilities
Glenan Lodge bed and breakfast guesthouse accommodation has 7 bedrooms all of which are en-suite and have central heating, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. For the comfort of our guests this is a non-smoking bed and breakfast accommodation.

The guesthouse dining room is where you will be treated to a traditional breakfast and also an evening meal if you wish. Following your meal you may wish to take advantage of the license to sample the fine selection of Highland single malt whiskies on offer.

There is also our guesthouse resident's lounge - the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the local area of Tomatin and Inverness. |

Fishing on the Findhorn
Per rod per day (maximum 3 rods) from: £35
We accept most major credit / debit cards. 3% surcharge for credit card payments. All reservations must be secured by a non-refundable deposit, preferably by credit or debit card, equal to the cost of the first night's accommodation. In the event of cancellation less than 7 days prior to the reservation all reasonable steps will be taken to re-let the room(s) reserved. If this proves impossible the cost of the accommodation less the cost of any expenses not supplied will be chargeable. In view of this we strongly recommend that you insure against cancellation. |
Local Area
The area is ideal for golf, shooting, fishing, bird-watching, hill walking, cycling, skiing or just relaxing, whether passing through or using Glenan Lodge Guest House accommodation as your base.
Glenan Lodge Guest House accommodation is situated just 1/2 mile off cycle route 7 which runs from Inverness to Perth. Covered storage for cycles is available.
For the fly-fishing enthusiast we have a 2 mile beat on the river Findhorn available to our guests for some of the finest salmon and wild brown trout fishing in the area.
For the golfer, carrbridge golf club is a short journey away.
Bird watchers can explore the nearby RSPB Reserves for Loch Garten's Ospreys, Loch Ruthven's Slavonian Grebes and the Insh marshes winter wildfowl, not to mention Golden Eagles, Buzzards and Red Kites.
Scotland's 2nd largest malt whisky distillery is within walking distance of the Lodge and the village shop and pub are only a short drive away.
Many places of historical interest are also close by including Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle and, of course, Loch Ness, Skye and John O' Groats can also make a great day out as can Balmoral, the Queen's summer residence.
Tomatin is midway between the skiing centre of Aviemore and the City of Inverness, capital of Highlands. An ideal base for exploring this most beautiful part of the UK. |
How to find us
Main Route The guest house is situated 3/4 of a mile from the main A9 Perth to Inverness road. Turn off the A9 at sign for Tomatin and then turn immediately right. After 100 yards turn left by a small house called Silver Birches. Follow the lane under the low railway bridge 7' 2" Max (2.2m) for 200 yards. Glenan Lodge guest house is the last house on the right at the top of the lane.
Alternate Route Turn off the A9 at sign for Tomatin and follow the road round to the left until you reach the distillery on the right. Turn right through the entrance and follow the road through the site until you reach the houses. Just past the houses turn right out of the distillery and follow the road which will take you to the guest house... |
