Bar and Dining
We are now celebrating 20 years in business. The Greenbank Hotel is a long standing bed and breakfast close to the centre of Darlington. We receive many repeat visitors who find that the location and facilities offered are quite unique and just right for a bed and breakfast experience in Darlington.
Whilst staying you can enjoy a relaxing drink in our bar and look at the amazing display of militaria. The Assisi Bar was started by Michelle's father as a tribute to his father W./B.Q.M.S. William Walsingham Dalton who was in the Royal Artillery (a desert rat) during the second world war. The bar is named after a cathedral in Italy where he sat on the steps waiting to come home. Whilst sitting there he wrote the poem El Alamein which you will find next to his uniform.
You will find a wide variety of breakfasts on the menu including The Full Monty English breakfast, as well as the usual fruit, cereals, juice, and the strongest of coffee or tea. We serve early during the week 6.30 am and early on weekends when requested for events like the British Super Bikes, Touring Cars and the Great North Run.
We are also glad to serve any special diet needs upon request, but please mention anything when booking. |
