 Green Gables is situated in a pleasant position facing Elleray Gardens, a local park.
Windermere is at the heart of the English Lake District and makes an ideal touring centre for the visitor. Shops and restaurants, bus and railway stations, are all nearby as are most coach tour operators. (We will arrange for local coach tours or hire cars on request).
For those that come by car ample parking is available.
Our family run guest house is noted for its comfort, cleanliness, friendliness and a good hearty breakfast. Double, twin, family, triple and single rooms available. Children welcome.
A comfortable T.V lounge, with residents bar, separate dining room, central heating throughout, first class bathrooms, toilets and showers. All our cosy en-suite and standard bedrooms have hot and cold water, colour TV, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities. Guests have access to rooms at all times. |
  Whatever your favourite pursuit, when in the Lake District you will find us helpful and a warm welcome is always assured from Carole and Alex, the resident proprietors.
All of the bedrooms and the dining room are non-smoking. However, for those that do, smoking is permitted in the lounge/bar area.
Should guests wish to relax in comfortable surroundings and at the same time enjoy a drink then these are available in the bar area.
A selection of bottled or canned beers is always available, together with a range of spirits - all competitively priced. All of our spirits are served in the new 35ml measure, or multiples thereof.
Should you prefer a glass of wine these are available in 175ml measures. |
 We at Green Gables aim to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. What better way to start your day than a hearty full English breakfast. A vegetarian option is available.
Orange or Apple juice
Corn Flakes, Coco Pops, Weetabix or Muesli, Grapefruit Segments
Full English consisting of:-
2 rashers of locally produced bacon
2 locally produced sausages
Grilled tomato
Mushrooms
Baked Beans
A potato waffle or equivalent
A fried egg
All of our rooms are centrally heated and there is always plenty of hot water.
Guests can come and go as they please - the only thing that we ask is that they do not disturb other guests. |
