Budleigh Saltertons famous pebble beach is home to traditional fishing boats, geological treasures, breathtaking views and one of Britain's oldest natural beaches./ East Devon's beaches are popular with families all the year round. The Otter estuary is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and home to a multitude of bird-life all the year round.

Golf, Walking and Gardens

Golfers will find Devon has an abundance of golf courses, catering for all standards. East Devon Golf Course, a beautiful links course, is 450 yards away.

For those who like to be more active The East Devon Jurassic Coastline is World Heritage Site, known for its Outstanding Natural Beauty and the cliff path is five minutes walk from Hansard House.

The mild southwest climate is a gardener's paradise and the range of gardens is world-renowned. Local Gardens include Bicton, Cadhay and Escot. Further a field in Cornwall is the futuristic Eden Project.

Directions

Leaving the M5 at junction 30, take the A367 to Exmouth, turning right at the first roundabout. At the next roundabout turn left, following the signs to Budleigh Salterton and Woodbury. After passing through the village of Woodbury, turn right up the hill, then right at the T-junction.

Follow the road past the Exmouth turnings, until you reach a roundabout. Take the first exit, straight on into Budleigh Salterton, North View Road is the 6th turning on the right. Take the left hand fork and Hansard House Hotel is 200m on the left.
