Brixham is set around a colourful and attractive harbour, which boasts a replica of the Golden Hind. On the quay there is a statue of King William III who, as Prince William of Orange, first set foot in Britain on 5th November 1688.
 Berry Head Country Park and Napoleonic Fort is the site of special scientific interest. With lovely walks along coastal paths to the lighthouse.
Fish from the breakwater or potter around in the crystal clear rock pools, swim at shoalstone beach seawater pool. Enjoy a day trip on a boat to historic Dartmouth or ferry to Torquay. Visit the charming local museum, which was once the police station.
Brixhams magnificent wooden sailing trawlers were the last fleet in England to trawl under sail. There are a number of these elegant vessels to see in the marina on the pontoon for classic boats. |
