About us.......
This imposing Country Inn is now operated by Trevor & Barbara Reynolds. Since acquiring the Hotel in 1997 they have significantly enhanced all aspects of the building. The Harts Head now offers 10 en-suite bedrooms with satellite T.V., a first class restaurant menu and normally 5 superb hand-pull ales from 5 different breweries. Above all, the emphasis on service and quality make this a terrific location for a short break or a passing visit.
The Hotel provides an excellent base to explore the Yorkshire Dales. It is a short distance from the 3 Peaks of Peny-gent, Ingleborough, and Whernside. A short drive and you reach the pleasant villages of Malham (famous for it's cove and limestone paving), Clapham (gateway to Ingleborough) and many other hamlets with superb views and friendly cafes.
With many customers making frequent return visits we have established one of the friendliest Inns in the Yorkshire Dales
Bedrooms....
We are very proud that our bedrooms are/have :
En-suite....no more sneaking down conrridors in the middle of the night to go to the toilet Fully Controllable Central Heating....that means YOU control the temperature of the room via a thermostat on each radiator (not all hotels/guest houses have this) keeping you warm whatever time of the year it is. Satellite T.V... 6 channels including Sky Sports 1 & 2, Sky News, Cartoon Network (keeps the kids happy at night & in the morning), and Sky One. We are the only hotel within a 10 mile radius with satellite T.V. in the bedrooms. Tea/Coffee facilties...so you can make your favourite brew when you want Our guests also have access to a Fax machine (small charge), secure garage for bicycles, beer garden with patio for resting after those long walks, and a very pleasant bar lounge area (no need to drink drive or pay extra money for a taxi!). We also have ample on-site free car parking, again unlike some of our nearby competitors.
We have recently opened our Snooker Room. The full sized table is available for hire to residents at a special rates
Restaurant and Bar Food.....
We offer a fantastic selection of food, with most of the sauces being prepared fresh. The sauces give a superb taste and this differentiates us from the standard pub offerings normally provided by the bigger chains. We encourage our professionally trained chefs to constantly develop the menu and to provide quality speciality dishes. Currently, we have sizzling duck to tempt those taste buds. We also only provide HOME MADE CHIPS.
We offer at least 4 vegetarian options, and again we receive many very complimentary comments from vegetarians who are pleased not to be treated as second class citizens!
For those who prefer plain food we offer a great range of standard home prepared dishes such as steaks, Steak & Ale pie, omelettes, or a choice of fish.
Our sweet menu changes by the week with many of the desserts being prepared on site.
Reservations are strongly recommended for our restaurant.
Of course, it you want something lighter then we offer a snack menu at lunch time in addition to the main menu.
Tariff...
Since purchasing the Hotel in late 1997, Trevor & Barbara have made significant enhancments to the bedrooms. The main Hotel has 7 bedrooms with a further three situated in the adjacent lodge. All rooms are en-suite. There is also a family suite in the annexe which contains one double bedroom and one bunk/twin bedroom. The tariff is constructed to encourage customers to take short breaks of 3 or more nights, and to encourage people to dine with us. The Reynolds have also built a reputation for excellent service, superb food, nice rooms, all provided in a friendly atmosphere. Many customers are re-visiting now (always a good sign) and some visit us so much we nearly invite them to family parties.
